Terms of service

Last updated: November 3, 2026

These terms govern the use of askit.site and the Askit service. By using the site, joining the waitlist or, once available, creating an account, you accept them.

This is a translation of the original Spanish document. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

Who provides the service

Askit is operated by Carlos Tello, an individual domiciled in Bogotá D.C., Colombia. You can write to us at hola@askit.site.

What Askit is

Askit is a customer support chatbot. It answers a business’s customer questions using only the documents that business uploads, cites the source of every answer and says so when the information isn’t in those documents.

Current stage

Askit hasn’t launched yet. The site has a free waitlist, with no card required, and we’ll only email you once, the day the demo opens. Joining the waitlist doesn’t commit you to buy anything.

The sections about accounts, the demo and the Pro plan apply once those services are available.

Accounts

You’ll need an account to use the demo and the Pro plan. You agree to give accurate information, to keep access to your account safe and to tell us if someone uses it without your permission. You are responsible for what is done from your account.

Free demo

The demo lets you chat with La Terraza, a fictional restaurant, up to 10 questions a day per signed-up user. It is free and needs no card.

Pro plan and payments

The Pro plan costs USD 19.99 a month. Its limits are listed in the pricing section of askit.site; today they are 10 MB of documents and 2,000 customer questions a month.

Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record: Polar charges you and gives you the receipt. Taxes may apply depending on your country.

The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it. Cancellations and refunds follow our refund policy.

Your documents

The documents you upload and your assistant’s content belong to you. You only give us the permission we need to store them, process them and use them to answer your customers while you use Askit.

You are responsible for having the rights to your documents and for what they say. Don’t upload sensitive data, or other people’s personal data that isn’t needed to serve your customers.

Assistant answers

The assistant answers only with the information in your documents, but it can make mistakes: it can misread a question or a document. Review your documents and the important answers, such as prices, opening hours or policies.

Acceptable use

You may not use Askit to:

  • Carry out illegal or fraudulent activities.
  • Publish content that infringes other people’s rights or that is misleading, offensive or harmful.
  • Try to access other businesses’ data or disrupt the service.
  • Send automated or bulk questions, for example to use up another business’s quota or to get around the plan limits.

Personal data

The processing of your personal data is governed by our privacy policy and our data processing policy.

Availability

Askit is a new product, at the minimum viable product (MVP) stage. We offer it as is and as available. We’ll do what is reasonable to keep it working well, but we don’t guarantee that it is error-free or always available.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or loss of data or business arising from the use of Askit. Our total liability to you will not exceed what you paid us in the last three months.

Nothing here limits the rights that Colombian law gives you and that cannot be waived.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service, and we’ll let you know when possible. You can stop using Askit and cancel your subscription at any time.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is significant, we’ll tell you in advance by email or in your dashboard. If you keep using Askit after the change applies, you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Any dispute will be settled by the courts of Bogotá D.C., unless the law allows you to go to another court.
